Justin Bieber Contracted Lyme Disease

"It's been a rough couple years but getting the right treatment that will help treat this so-far, incurable disease"
Justin Bieber Contracted Lyme Disease
Justin Bieber recently had a very public battle with depression and was forced to go on hiatus, but it turns out that — much like fellow Canadian pop star Avril Lavigne — it was reportedly due to him contracting Lyme disease.

As previously reported, Bieber is about to release a documentary series called Seasons, and according to TMZ's sources who have already seen the series, he reveals his diagnosis with Lyme disease — an infectious and very problematic disease spread by ticks.

UPDATE: Bieber has now taken to Instagram to confirm that he's indeed been battling Lyme disease. You can see his post below.

In the documentary, Bieber reportedly discusses frightening symptoms he endured in 2019, explaining that he spent much of the year being undiagnosed as doctors struggled to find out what was wrong.

It wasn't until late last year that Bieber discovered he had been battling Lyme disease, which has symptoms that include rashes, headaches, fever and extreme fatigue, among others.

According to TMZ, Bieber is unsure where and exactly when he contracted the disease.

Ironically, the Ottawa Public Health used an image of Bieber in 2018 to show people how to prevent tick bites. On the plus side, Bieber is reportedly doing well since being diagnosed. After all, he not only has a new album coming out, but he's heading out on a big North American tour. Plus, he just released his new single "Yummy."

His Seasons documentary series is set to premiere on January 27.
